Medicare

Medicare insurance options can be confusing, but we’re here to guide you and assist in helping you make an informed decision around your Medicare needs!

Medicare Part A & B

Original Medicare is split into two portions, Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B.  Individuals who have paid social security taxes for at least 40 quarters (10 years) are entitled to Medicare Part A at no cost, while individuals who have not paid 10 years in Social Security taxes will be charged a monthly premium to enroll into Part A.

Medicare Part A

Medicare Part A will cover 80% of costs associated with inpatient hospital stays, skilled nursing facility care, hospice care, and some home health care services.

Medicare Part B

Medicare Part B will cover 80% of costs associated with doctor’s services, outpatient care, home health care, durable medical equipment, and preventive services.

Medicare Coverage

While the 80% coverage offered by Medicare Part A and B will help offset any Medical expenses a Medicare beneficiary may incur, 20% of that cost is passed along to the beneficiary.  There are three main Medicare products that help fill the gaps left by original Medicare; Medicare Advantage plans, Medicare Supplements plans, and Medicare Prescription Drug plans.  Each individual’s needs will vary and one or more of these products may be a good fit for your unique needs, our goal is to help you identify if any of these offerings would be a benefit to you.

When meeting with clients to discuss Medicare, we do a full training on how Medicare Part A & B work and the Medicare plan types, then will review your healthcare needs, any specific providers you may want to receive care though, and any medication needs you may have to help identify products to fully address your specific needs.
